Nakon hita bijeli može produžiti naprijed ili dovesti novi checker u zonu za pokrivanje 4pt. Oba poteza dupliciraju četvrtice. Međutim, ako crni uzvrati sa barpointa bijelog onda će, uz to što napušta bolju ankoru, ostaviti trostruki šut. Osim toga bijelome je sigurnije zadržati checker na 21pt gdje ima započetu solidnu ankoru, te bolju kontrolu protivničke strane ploče, a može i uzvratiti sa bara direktno ako bude napadnut. 11pt nije važan dok postoji midpoint i dobro ga je početi čistiti dok je crni na baru.
