Nakon što odigra bijeli je 3 pipsa efektivno u zaostatku, zato ne treba ići naprijed sa back checkerom. Kad se gubi u trci najbolje je ostati gdje jesi i povećavati kontakt. Poslije 24/22 crni nezgodna bacanja može igrati sigurno, bijelom iza leđa. 13/8 ravnomjerno raspoređuje spare checkere, dok 6/4 započinje 4pt i rasterećuje 6pt. Točno je da gammoni vrijede nešto više crnome nego inače, a da bijelom uopće ne igraju, međutim to nije razlog za paniku. Treba i dalje igrati backgammon. Igra je tek počela.

After 24/22 black can handle badly rolls behind white's back checker. 13/8 gives better spare distribution and 6/4 starts valuable 4pt and unstacks 6pt. It is true how gammons are more valuable for black and how white doesn't need them at all but it is not reason for panic. White still has to play backgammon and should apply basic principles. Game is still young.
