Nakon što se napravi 5.polje, potrebno je razdvojiti stražnje checkere. Time se dobiva više šuteva na protivnički blot, povećava kontrola vanjskog polja i šansa za kreiranje isturenije ankore. Obično je dovoljno jednom checkere razdvojiti, npr. sa 24/23, te nije potrebno dalje s njima ništa raditi. 23/22 ovdje povećava pritisak na protivnički blot, započinje bolju ankoru i daje upotrebljive šestice, koje su inače blokirane s bara. 8/7 kreira dodatni blot, ogoljuje 8.polje i ostavlja protivniku više indirektnih šuteva s bara u situacija kad se vodi u trci.
After white makes his 5pt, he has to split back checkers. It gives him more shots to opponent's blot, creates better outfield control and increases chances to make advanced anchor. Usually resplit is a waste but here 23/22 puts more pressure to opponent's blot, starts more advanced anchor and gives white good sixes from the bar. 8/7 creates additional blot, strips 8pt and leaves more indirects from the bar when white is ahead in race. White is also ahead in match and cube is still in the middle so he has to aim for less gammonish position.
