Nakon što odigra bijeli vodi 3 pipsa u trci, što znači da je efektivno 1 pips u zaostatku. Trka je efektivno izjednačena ako je igrač koji je na potezu u zaostatku 4 pipsa. Ovo ukazuje kako bijeli ne bi trebao krenuti u trku. Međutim zaostatak je minimalan i bijeli nema suvislu alternativu. Bacio je broj kojim preskače blokadu ostavljajući pri tome samo indirekt.
