13/8 dovodi još jedan builder za unutrašnja polja dok šesti checker na 6pt nije preporučljiv. Sa 11pt bijeli ima više uzvrata i bolju kontrolu ploče. Ne treba se bojati udarca, jer ionako zaostaje u trci. Njegov plan je blokirati crnog i zadržati njegove stražnje checkere koji su još na acept, te nadoknaditi zaostatak. Crni ako želi udariti mora napustiti midpoint čime dijeli checkere u dvije nepovezane grupe. Blot na 11pt je ranjiv samo na 64. Napustiti 8pt kako bi napravio 3pt dok gradi blokadu je loše rješenje.
After best play position just looks better. 13/8 brings one more builder for inner points. Sixth checker on 6pt doesn't look good. From 11pt white has more returns and better outfield control. He is behind in race so hit doesn't cost him a lot. His game plan is to block black's back checkers which are still on white's acept and catch up in race. If black wants to hit he has to give up midpoint and break his army into two separated groups. Blot on 11pt is vulnerable on 64 only. It is bad idea to switch from 8pt to deeper 3pt when you are trying to make prime.
