„Čisti polja od kraja i ne postavljaj nikakva pitanja.“ Najčešće je to tako, mada u backgammonu uvijek ima iznimaka za svako „pravilo“, međutim ova pozicija to nije. Može se pronaći razlog da je bolje očistiti 4pt, jer je 5pt vrijedniji, ili kako 5/1 „čuva“ jednu četvrticu za igrati unutar kuće, pa se ne mora igrati sa ankore. Ali, uskoro može doći do izmjene udaraca i uz već zatvoreniju kuću crnoga, bijeli ne želi imati blot u svojoj. Također, imati rupu na 4pt kod kupljenja može značiti jedan checker manje vani ako se pri tome baci četvrtica.

Clear from the rear and don't ask any questions. In backgammon there are exceptions for every rule but this one is not. We can find reasons how is better to clear 4pt because 5pt is more valuable or how 5/1 preserve one four to play inside homeboard instead with back checkers. But, hit exchange can happened next roll and white, outboarded, doesn't want blot in his homeboard. In addition, gap on 4pt can present miss during bear off if he roll four in that process.
